Biometric Smile Makeover with Hand-Layered Ultra-Thin E-Max Veneers
Chief Complaint & Initial Presentation
Midline spacing, childhood fluorosis/staining, and uneven smile arc causing self-consciousness when speaking or smiling.
Clinical Methodology & Biomechanical Approach
Facially-driven 3D Digital Smile Design mockup tested in the mouth prior to tooth preparation. Conservative 0.3mm minimally invasive enamel preservation, followed by diode laser biological width recontouring and individual feldspathic ceramic characterization.
Clinical Outcome & Long-Term Stability
Radiant, natural smile harmony matching lip contour and pupil line. Preserved 95% of natural enamel with zero post-operative sensitivity.
Esthetic transformations require a strict harmony between facial proportions, lip dynamics, and tooth morphology. Using 3D Digital Smile Design simulations, the patient was able to preview and approve their final smile mockup in their own mouth before any tooth surface was touched.
Microscopic preparation was performed with sub-millimeter precision, conserving virtually all natural enamel. Ten ultra-thin IPS E-Max porcelain veneers were custom hand-layered with subtle optical translucency matching natural dentition.
