No. Severe facial swelling and bruising are typically the result of mechanical trauma from older rotary drills and heavy chisel forces. By using ultrasonic Piezosurgery, we minimize bone trauma, control bleeding instantaneously, and place concentrated PRF healing plugs, resulting in virtually no external swelling for the vast majority of our patients.
We first acquire a high-resolution 3D CBCT scan to map the exact 3D pathway of the Inferior Alveolar Nerve canal. During the procedure, our Piezosurgery ultrasonic frequency cuts bone selectively and will not cut or tear nerve tissue even upon direct contact. In extreme cases, a coronectomy (removing only the crown and leaving stable fused roots) can be performed to guarantee 100% nerve safety.
Dry socket (alveolar osteitis) occurs when the protective blood clot is lost, exposing the underlying bone to air and food. We virtually eliminate dry socket by placing an autologous PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) plug into every surgical site, which locks in natural healing factors and stabilizes the clot from Day 1.
For the first 24 hours, enjoy cool, soft foods such as smoothies, ice cream, yogurt, curd rice, and lukewarm soups (do not use a straw). Most of our patients comfortably resume soft solid meals like pasta, khichdi, and soft rice within 48 hours.
